How you’ll spend your day

Major duties and responsibilities required to achieve the position’s objectives and be successful in the Director, Government Pricing role.

  • Responsible for ensuring contract compliance in accordance with laws and regulations, while representative as an expert in Government Programs (Medicaid, VA/DOD, 340B) and all statutory pricing, regulations and policy. Oversee accurate calculations and reporting of Average Manufacturer Price (AMP), Average Selling Price (ASP), Best Price (BP), and Non-Federal AMP (NFAMP) and 340B pricing to the appropriate regulatory entities for all Company and affiliate labeler codes.
  • Manage Medicaid rebate claim adjudication staff; review and approve all quarterly state Medicaid invoice and rebate payment packages for all labeler codes of company and affiliates. Review / monitor the calculations behind the reported values, the status of Medicaid disputes, resolutions, and reconciliations, and assist in resolving related issues as appropriate.
  • Business Lead on determining future state of GP system and resources required and implementing new system in accordance with government regulations and internal policies.
  • Business Lead on any GP restatements as needed, working closely with external auditors and internal/external counsel.
  • Work with other business functions to provide insight on government programs and financial impact analysis resulting from price changes, contracting strategies and other business decisions affecting GP calculations.
  • Work with SOX team and internal/external auditors on review of quarterly GP/Medicaid SOX controls and GP audits as needed.
Your experience and qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR extensive direct work experience commensurate to this role required, Master’s Degree preferred

Experience:

  • Prior Pharmaceutical and/or Med Device in Government Pricing with brand, generic experience.
  • Supervisory with people management.


Specific type of experience required:

  • Ability to manage a team and delegate responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of the GP regulations and reporting requirements
  • Understanding of Medicaid rebate processing function
  • Knowledge of Revitas Flex suite and SAP

Specific type of experience preferred:

  • Prior Market Access, pricing and commercial contracting experience
  • Familiar with various state price transparency laws and reporting requirements
