As a Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Driving existing product quality enhancement through use of continuous improvement methods and tools, such as: Lean Six Sigma, Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Design ofExperiments (DOE)and Quality at the Source
• Supporting and interacting with customers through complaint investigations, resolution, and trending
• Supporting quality systems, quality systems improvements, audits, and supplier quality management processes
• Ensuring the commercialized product design intent and product integrity is retained as materials, processes, methods, and specifications change
• Supporting and/or leading change as it relates to design changes inspired by quality improvement, source of supply changes, or cost reduction efforts
• Troubleshooting, investigating, and analyzing for non-conforming product testing and disposition

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degreeor higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Two (2) yearscombined manufacturing,production, quality and/orlaboratory experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Engineering, orMaterials Science(completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Advanced experience in a quality functionin manufacturing/production plant
• Experience running small scale investigativeexperimentation ina laboratory or pilot plant
• Deep emphasis on applied statistical applications and continuous improvement methodologies
• Support and/or lead efforts on life cycle management, risk management, product and process improvements, and other product documentation efforts
