Buyer/Planner I position will be responsible for the Tactical Sourcing and Production Planning of Fire and Comfort products. Detailed top to bottom materials requirements planning for all manufactured components is the primary role for this position. Included in this top to bottom plan is the on-going management of the short- and long-term manufacturing capacity plan. Buyer/Planner I must be able to collaborate across functional areas that include Strategic Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Logistics Distribution. Responsible for maximizing service levels while achieving inventory targets. Buyer/Planner I will participate on high visibility teams that will require accurate and timely data analysis and the ability to meet project deadlines.
Role Description:
- Being responsible for the Tactical Sourcing and Production Planning of Fire and Comfort products.
- Detailed top to bottom materials requirements planning for all manufactured components is the primary role for this position.
- Included in this top to bottom plan is the on-going management of the short- and long-term manufacturing capacity plan.
- Must be able to collaborate across functional areas that include Strategic Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Logistics Distribution.
- Responsible for maximizing service levels while achieving inventory targets.
- Participating on high visibility teams that will require accurate and timely data analysis and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Completes and maintains various delivery and inventory reports, manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO), reviews and maintains Tactical Sourcing/Production Planning parameters in SAP, possess excellent written/verbal/computer/data analysis skills – specifically Excel (formulas, pivots, and charts).
- This role will require experience with high volume, short lead time products and should possess working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Siemens Production System (SPS).

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain / Logistics.
- 2+ years of successful related experience as a buyer or planner.

Preferred qualifications:
- SAP experience preferred.
- Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Siemens Production System (SPS) is preferred.

- The pay range for this position is $53,760 - $92,160 . The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
