Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design & execution of structured experimental plans to drive data-based decisions.

  • Facilitating crisp decision making around key technical issues

  • Leading technology integration and knowledge transfer within domain of responsibility

  • Creating a strong team culture around high expectations and high performance

  • Interfacing with Physicians/Cath Lab personnel to obtain feedback on concepts and performance of new devices.

  • Providing clear communication to stakeholders at key technical updates

  • Understanding the anatomy, clinical use cases and user interface requirements to drive design decisions.

  • Leveraging internal/external partners as necessary to achieve project objectives

  • Support and successfully contribute to project teams through the following activities: product design and development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process capability studies, research investigations (animal and clinical studies), report preparation, and process/test documentation.

  • Providing work direction to technicians/entry-mid-level engineers

  • Actively collaborating with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing on complex projects to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar.

  • Required minimum years of work experience (primarily in medical device or related field): 7+ Years with BS, 5+ Years with MS.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership on a large-scale development program.

  • Experience in design simulation tools and analysis techniques.

  • Solid clinical knowledge and experience in cardiovascular anatomy.

  • Experience managing technical aspects of projects as a member of a large cross-functional core team.

  • Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources.

  • Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated product development leadership and communication skills.

  • Experience with complex access and delivery systems development.

  • Experienced with multi-faceted technology and product development programs.

  • Ability to research literature and develop clinical understanding with technical credibility to develop a strategy for regulatory submission.

  • Class II or Class III Medical Device product development experience.

  • Solid experimental design and statistical analysis knowledge.
