Leading expert in applying electrochemical principles and methods for battery R&D with a focus on generating electrochemical data and insights to drive purposeful innovations of battery materials for next generation cell chemistries; materials include cathode/anode active materials, electrolyte, binder, conductive agent, etc.
Proven track record of conceiving and developing novel materials at industrial level driven by electrochemical and cell chemistry expertise
Ability to develop and employ electrochemical testing methodologies per application specific requirements; ability to connect the dots between materials, properties, electrochemical data, and analytical data to guide development direction
In-depth understanding of electrochemistry principles and their implications in battery cell and material performance
Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem solving
Experience with data acquisition systems and automation software
Team oriented; ability to collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams and external partners
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical data and results and communicate effectively
Education & Experience
BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field with relevant industry experience preferred.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $160,700.00 and $282,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
