Specifically, you will:
  • Be out in the field meeting in person with customers & partners multiple times per week building relationships from the individual contributor level up to the C-suite.
  • Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer/prospect contacts towards achieving business objectives.
  • Execute to exceed quota targets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional internal Cisco teams and lead all aspects of the service sales solutions.
  • Sell solutions based on current and new portfolio of service offers.
  • Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries using appropriate methods and a sense of urgency.
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and briefings.
  • Attend and present at internal Cisco meetings with other stakeholders vital to aid business development.
  • Conduct yourself most professionally, understanding your brand is Cisco’s brand.
  • Understand and effectively navigate customers' and partners' procurement process; Build relationships with customers and partners in positions that directly or indirectly influence the procurement process.
  • Negotiate, manage, and defend service pricing and margins according to agreed-upon terms
  • Properly qualify opportunities to ensure the optimization of Cisco resources
  • Follow standardized and optimized sales processes like MEDDPICC, Responsibility Matrices, etc.
  • Use extended services team resources and tools, as appropriate based on defined engagement models, throughout the sales cycle, including (not limited to) Service Delivery Architects, Business Acceleration, Customer Success, and Field and Practice Delivery.
  • Effectively handle personal time and productivity understanding that the work schedule ebbs and flows.
  • Collaborate with teams across Cisco to create and manage account plans using all relevant data (renewals, new product funnel, potential upgrades, and end-of-support situations)
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customer relationships through appropriate propositions ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
  • Maintain forecast excellence, with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and out-quarter submissions, deal notes, and meeting those commitments.
  • Develop transformational, service-led deals that meet customer business objectives.
  • Become an expert at unlocking value for our customers, by proposing consultative, services-led solutions.

You will apply knowledge of sales growth, market drivers, key customer business drivers, and opportunities to do strategic account planning, establishing, prioritizing, and driving. You drive a course of action to accomplish broad account objectives and sales strategies, using knowledge to identify and cultivate future sales opportunities to build a strong (3x or better) pipeline.

  • You build Influential Relationships: Working collaboratively with customers, channel partners, and account team members to meet business goals and objectives; using appropriate communication methods to influence others and establish relationships.

  • You Lead Negotiations: Effectively exploring interests and options to reach outcomes that gain the agreement and acceptance of all parties by using legitimate data, and objective criteria to support one’s proposal.
  • You have CXO Relevancy: Adding value by proactively identifying business opportunities for the customer/partner, conveying a firm understanding of the customer's/partner's business and political drivers, displaying executive presence by establishing rapport and credibility; effectively influencing other people to accept a solution; connecting solutions to business needs.
  • You Think Creatively: Identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to address sales challenges and new opportunities; taking courses of action based on sound analysis and judgment that appropriately consider customer and partner business capabilities and issues, available facts, constraints, competitive circumstances, and probable consequences.
Our minimum requirements for this role:
  • BA degree - MBA or graduate degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Proven sales track record of closing business and exceeding targets.
