PrimaryResponsibilities
- Act as an advisor and coach to directs on their work and team dynamics.
- Performance manage directs to enable engineers to operate at their highest potential.
- Sourcing, interviewing and hiring candidates for open positions, onboarding, guidance to staff, conducting performance evaluations, developing performance improvement plans, and taking corrective action as needed.
- Be knowledgeable and a point of contact for product vision, goals, and process.
- Align engineers to the corporate and organization’s strategy, focus on customer use cases, experience and quality .
- Recommend changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
- Evaluates and reviews new technologies on their applicability to product architecture and design.
- Model F5 Behaviors and Agile principles.
- Collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced high-performance environment.
Required Skills
- Proven track record and experience leading engineering projects with 10+ member team .
- Engineering and application delivery expertise.
- Demonstrated ability in mentoring and developing direct reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in written communications.
- Experience managing both UI and backend projects.
- Solid product development experience in Java, Python and Go.
- Good experience in web service and REST API design and implementation.
- Proficient with SQL/ NoSQL Databases.
- Proven experience in public cloud platforms: GCP, AWS.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years hands-on software development experience.
- 3+ years leading or managing a large geographically distributed team.

The annual base pay for this position is: $175,728.00 - $263,592.00
