Creates and delivers presentations on application solutions to diverse audiences (for example, suppliers, technical staff) by gathering required information; developing materials; and recommendations. Demonstrates up-to-date in Information Systems Division (ISD)-Applications Development area and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet Customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Develops Associate capabilities by mentoring and teaching team members (for example, coding languages, scripts, documentation requirements, programming standards, DBMS technologies); assigning tasks; and reviewing and approving recommended solutions. Manages product installation upgrades (for example, Information Systems Division (ISD) application solutions, third-party products) by evaluating new application components; release schedules; and installation timelines. Provides complex application solutions by business requirements; researching potential solutions; making recommendations to meet end-user business and implementing best practices;

Minimum education and experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus 5 years of software engineering experience or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with: Creating business requirement document, sourcing to target mappings etc. based on the discussions with the business/end users which can be used for the design and development of ETL components; Using ETL tools to read and integrate data from various source systems like RDBMS, Flat file, Mainframes etc.; Using ETL tools to load or transfer data to different target systems which resides on On-prem or Cloud; Designing, developing, and testing ETL pipelines based on the business requirements and S2T mappings; Creating jobs using scheduling tools like CA7, Control - M to accommodate cross platform dependencies; Creating Unix shell scripts, storing procedures and invoking them using DataStage Designer; Creating reports for end users using reporting tools like IBM Cognos, Tableau etc.; Optimizing/fining tune complex SQL, PL/SQL process; Maintaining the code in GIT and creating CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment; Monitoring the ETL Production flow and providing production support to ensure adequate steps are taken in case of job failures by analyzing the logs available on ETL system or servers; and Service management tools like ServiceNow, BMC remedy etc.
