In addition to your client responsibilities, you will also be expected to fulfil staff-level responsibilities within the firm. EY staff support people-related initiatives, including recruiting events and interview nights. Staff are also expected to support and participate in internal, firm activities, including training programs and courses in order to stay current on training requirements and continuously improve technical skills. Lastly, you will be expected to understand and follow all workplace policies and procedures, including all applicable Independence policies.

You will ideally have previous exposure to technology consulting, and a keen interest in advising the US government and Public sector. You should have strong communication skills, and business and technology acumen, and have a passion for delivering value to our clients.
Your responsibilities
- Work closely with the customer to understand business processes and gaps
- Create As-Is and To-Be formal documentation for business processes
- Formally document gaps for leadership review and prioritization
- Identify technical solutions that can address gaps
- Develop solution requirements and Use Cases describing and documenting the solutions to gaps
- Work closely with development teams to represent requirements
- Experienced with working with Jira or Azure DevOps for Agile Sprint management and change request tracking
- Experienced with data warehouses and creating SQL queries to study and report on case data. The Technical Lead will sometimes respond to data calls from the customer, pulling the results from the data warehouse
- Experienced in identifying data issues and quality problems as gaps to be addressed
- Participate in daily Scrum-style stand ups and occasionally lead these meetings
- Familiarity with DHS components and processes is a plus, particularly ICE and CBP
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher, which will be driven by the engagement requirement
- Experience or interest in one of the following areas:
- Proficiency with MVC Development Methodology (Model/View/Controller).
- Experience with Microservices architecture design.
- Expertise in developing and managing data models using tools like CA Erwin.
- Familiarity with creating and updating data dictionaries.
- Experience with Apache ActiveMQ and other message services.
- DevOps pipeline tools expertise, including Jira, configuration management, automated testing, and deployment.
- Experience developing interfaces compliant with National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) standards.
- Knowledge of federal IT systems and integration.
- Proficiency in network communication protocols, routing, proxy settings, and firewall policies.
- Compliance with FISMA and NIST security standards.
- Cloud hosting solutions expertise, including architecture and cost estimation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to develop root cause analyses and system improvement roadmaps.
- SQL proficiency for data integrity validation and constraints.
- Comprehensive experience with configuration management, including change control and audits.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Visual design experience preferred, including user interface development for Web and mobile experiences
- Experience in user centered design practices and principles, including research & testing, information architecture, prototyping, taxonomy and other areas
- Experience in agile scrum methodology and management tools (e.g., JIRA, VersionOne, etc.)
- Experience executing project plans on large, complex engagements from analysis through implementation
- Expertise in developing written and visual communication products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of Adobe creative suite as well as prototyping software
- Knowledge of major digital trends and platforms
- Knowledge of modern web and mobile architecture
- Ability to collaborate with clients and identify engagement follow-on opportunities

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $101,500 to $186,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $121,700 to $211,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
