JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lead Advanced Field Service Technician hereat Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to perform quality assuranceinspections on contractor work performed for NYSERDA’s EmPower+ and ComfortHome programs. You will inspect a number of energy efficiency measuresinstalled in these homes including attic and exterior wall insulation, heatingsystems, mini split heat pumps, energyefficient appliances and lighting. Youwill make sure that these installations comply with NYSERDA and BPI quality andsafety standards. Your expertise and dedication to excellence will play acrucial role in the success of our field service operations and the growth ofour business. We are looking for an individual based in the vicinity of MonroeCounty, New York. You will report directly to our program manager, and you’llwork in the field 4 days a week, conducting inspections with one day per weekin your home office. This is a remotework role- working from home when not on inspections. In this role, you will playa key role in maintaining the quality standards of the program, improving your area’s energy efficiency, andhelping to keep homeowners and tenants safe and comfortable in their improvedhomes.

The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $80,000. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct 8 to 10 inspections of participatingcustomer homes.
  • Do a visual inspection of contracted measures including atticand crawl space insulation.
  • Conductblower door testing on the homes.
  • Conducting CAZ and combustion safety testingon all combustion appliances.
  • Using anIR camera, perform infrared inspection of installed closed cavityinsulation.
  • Work closely with thescheduling and management team.
  • Participate in team meetings. Occasional overnight travel to conferences– less than 5% of the time.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • BPI Building Analyst Certification.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in residential energy efficiency or residential insulation/heating.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with using PCs or laptops.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationships
