Design and enhance SCADA systems to optimize and control manufacturing operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications, leveraging data insights to inform decisions
Develop and implement engineered solutions to resolve issues, streamline processes, and maximize production efficiency
Modify PLC and HMI applications in the field to meet evolving requirements and improve system performance
Configure and deploy SCADA hardware/software, including Ignition 8, EMES, SICAR, and FactoryTalk View, to ensure seamless factory operations
Manage and organize manufacturing data using SQL databases, enabling efficient data analysis and reporting
Conduct functional testing of control systems, HMI, and SCADA to validate system performance and reliability
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to SCADA, data, SQL queries, and Python scripts to minimize production downtime
Maintain comprehensive system documentation, tracking configurations, changes, and updates for operational continuity
Provide training and ongoing support to engineers, operators, and maintenance staff during shutdown, commissioning, version rollouts and updates to existing systems
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
3+ years of proven experience as SCADA/Controls Engineer
Proficiency in Python, Java or C++ programming languages
Strong understanding of databases and data management
Proven interpersonal skills and ability to objectively resolve conflict within a large group
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Able to work flexible hours and schedules as required
In-depth knowledge of SCADA software, hardware, and protocols and previous experience with Ignition 7/ 8 is highly desirable
