Manage CapEx project lifecycle: Justification, specification / option analysis, approval, spending & budget, factory acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, validation, and transfer of ownership
Manage external vendor scoping, communications, and schedules
Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for paint processes including conveyance, robotics, assembly build cells, and in-station automation. Simulate process changes and new /existing equipment to optimize equipment implementation and benefit
Documentation of automated equipment, and associated procedures. Including maintenance tasks / processes, spare parts, changepoint documentation, operator instructions, bulletins
Study technologies to expert-level of understanding, utilizing internal & external technical resources to fully understand, teach and lead new / newly implemented technologies
Support / assist Maintenance in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures. Provide technical training to maintenance, production, and other internal resource groups
Working in a hands-on capacity in a production environment to fully understand scope, impact, and associated challenges. Provide technical support to production, maintenance, quality, and other groups as required and during production and ramp
What You’ll Bring
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of proven experience in paint automation engineering, preferably in the automotive industry
Environmental certifications such as CAQP, HAZOP, or equivalent
