As a Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Develop new product part designs and generate accompanying type design documents
• Attend to product change requests and handle subsequent 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation.
• Upload of design data into customer's PDM system, as well as internal PDM
• Implement project timelines and maintain release schedules
• Follow CFR 25.856(a) and (b) with regards to flammability requirements for installation methods and procedures for acoustic materials
• Support Manufacturing and Quality Teams via creation/review of manufacturing files and address issues during part production
• Willingness to be on-call and interface with customers to resolve design issues
• Support Purchasing Department by maintaining Configuration Management Database for the aircraft program.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Five (5) years of design and/or drafting experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with CATIA V5 modeling and drafting software
• Product Data Management systems, such as Enovia VPM and SmarTeam
• Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with SAP
