Clearance Requirement:Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance - With CI or Lifestyle Poly
Armis is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer (SE) – Intelligence Community (IC)/DoD with an active Top Secret clearance and current CI or Lifestyle Polygraph. This customer-facing role requires 6-8+ years of IC-focused experience in networking and cybersecurity sales engineering experience. The position requires hands-on technical competency to support: installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation of the pre-sales cycle. Candidates must be DC metro-based and comfortable with frequent travel.
What You'll Do
Work closely with Account Executives, prospects, and customers to:
- Deliver virtual and in-person technical demonstrations of Armis solutions
- Deploy, configure, and manage proof-of-value (POV) installations that showcase Armis capabilities that align to customer pain points and use cases
- Troubleshoot complex network environments, integrating APIs and third-party products, and ensure successful technical outcomes to the opportunity
- Lead technical training sessions on Armis solutions
- Design and deliver organized technical project plans that manage customer and Armis deliverables, requirements, and expectations for PoV engagements
- Support marketing initiatives, conferences, and speaking engagements as a technical subject matter expert
- Address prospect and customer needs with clear and effective verbal and written communication, including formal technical responses to queries and RFPs
- Travel frequently across the DC metro area and to federal sites as required (up to 40%)
Education & Clearance:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline (or equivalent experience/certifications)
- Active TS/SCI Clearance Required (with ability to obtain Lifestyle polygraph)
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience selling and engineering cybersecurity solutions (SaaS and on-premises) into DoD and IC environments
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: routing, switching, VLANs, subnets, ports and protocols, and port configuration
- Hands-on expertise with RHEL and Linux administration, containers, bare-metal builds, and system integration
- Proficiency with REST APIs, scripting, and automation (Python preferred; Bash or PowerShell acceptable)
- Familiarity with ATO/IATT
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as: NIST 800-82, RMF, DISA STIGs, etc.
- OT/ICS experience considered a strong plus
- Familiarity with Application Security and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Security Operations Center activities to include Threat Hunting and adversary tactics techniques and procedures
- Vulnerability management expertise including ACAS, Tenable/Nessus, CVEs, patch management, and CISA KEV catalog
The salary range guidance for this position is: $160,000-$210,000
