Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of BNPL Solutions Developer (multiple positions) in Irving, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions to address the complex business needs of Bank's AVVANCE Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) at the point-of-sale.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering management, agile leadership, and cross-functional teams to implement software solutions that align with AVVANCE's business requirements.
  • Engage in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including problem analysis, planning, designing, development, and deployment of applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain AVVANCE BNPL applications to ensure their reliability, security, and availability, while identifying and mitigating risks in a timely manner.
  • Debug software code to identify and resolve bugs and deploy fixes to production environments.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks in the application, analyze their causes, and implement solutions.
  • Conduct software code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices and development procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

Position Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, followed by 5 years in a progressively responsible Software Developer, or related, occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must include 5 years of experience with each of the following:

Gather business and user requirements; JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular, Bootstrap, and Redux; Microservices, including API development using Java, Spring Boot, Junit, and NodeJS; Continuous Delivery through Jenkins, Git, and GitLab; Full Stack Software Development; Cloud native development in AWS and Azure; and, Code review, Scrum, and Jira.
