National Tax – Tax Technology and Transformation (Law Solutions) – Senior
Tax Technology and Transformation offers services to companies in response to the impact of existing and emerging technology, including the growing data burden that many businesses face, driving efficiencies to create a cost-effective Tax or Legal function and the need to understand how to make data an asset. Tax Technology and Transformation is composed of the following services for Tax and Law:

Job role:
The primary role is to collaborate with clients to enhance the performance and value-add of their technical solutions and operations. As part of the Law Solutions team, you will focus on assisting to increase automation in legal department processes, enhance analytic capabilities through data integration and implement solutions that will enable the Legal department to deliver quality output and contribute more strategically to the enterprise. This technical expert will be responsible for assessing, designing, developing, and implementing legal technology, automated workflows and data science projects to improve operational efficiency and provide actionable insights.

Depending on your unique skills and ambitions, you could be supporting various client projects, from assisting in the production of leading practice solutions, to implementing third-party applications, to supporting and automating internal and external operations of multinational Tax and Legal departments. 1. Legal technology assessment and implementation
- Conduct assessments to determine the compatibility and effectiveness of potential legal technology solutions.
- Collaborate with legal, IT, and business stakeholders to understand specific requirements and challenges.
- Evaluate existing technologies used by the legal department to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Research and recommend technology solutions that align with business needs.
- Assist in the development of criteria for selecting legal technology vendors.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the implementation of legal technology solutions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of legal department technology assessments and implementations.
- Configure and test third-party legal systems.
- Provide training and support to users during the implementation phase.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Drive the continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on client experience.
2. Emerging technology and data strategy
- Perform data analysis and support science-related projects to support business decisions, underpinned by a deep understanding of the data, its sources, and potential uses.
- Utilize data modeling techniques and advanced statistical analysis to discover patterns and trends that will influence business strategies.
- Implement emerging technologies such as RPA, AI, GenAI, and Self Service workflows to enhance efficiency and drive cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and streamline business processes, leveraging the latest technology innovations.
- Support the transformation of complex data into clear and actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Tax Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science or related field and a minimum of three years of related work experience
- Approved technical certification, CPA license or membership to a state Bar or progress to attaining those mentioned
- Familiarity with various legal technology solutions and their applications, including matter management/eBilling, document management and/or contract management
- Experience implementing third-party legal systems (e.g., Agiloft, Docusign, Sirion, Onit) including workflows
- A strong interest in technology and its use in business processes
- Excellent communication and business writing skills
- A natural flair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to work
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with exceptional client-serving consulting skills
- Demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirements
- Desire and demonstrated ability to provide leadership within a team
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams
- Experience in supporting project management activities, such as status reporting and risk and issue management
Ideally, you will also have at least one of the following:
- Microsoft Power BI suite, including Power Pivot, Power Query, Power View and Power Map
- Knowledge and experience in the design and development of databases (specifically SQL Server)
- Write and maintain code for integration solutions, including APIs and middleware technologies
- Experience in scripting languages using Python, Java, or other tools
- Experience with developing ETL solutions using middleware tools or scripting logic
- ERP experience, including SAP and/or Oracle
- Experience managing large, multidisciplinary projects
- Experience in Tax and/or Legal function transformation and automation
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Lean principles
- Proficient in data modeling and AI-driven analysis, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $95,600 to $157,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $114,700 to $179,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
