Job responsibilities

  • Defines strategic implementations across Infrastructure Platforms and ensures adherence to the target state across a nymber of domains.
  • Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks
  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years experience as an Software or Infrastructure Architect
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture

  • Leadership Experience : Proven experience in leading architecture designs from inception to completion.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration : Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-Solving : Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Security : In-depth understanding of security best practices and regulatory requirements in financial services.
  • Innovation : A track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement within an organization.
  • Mentorship : Experience in mentoring and developing junior architects and technical staff.
