By joining our team, we’ll have you be responsible for managing a group of Field Engineers in monitoring the performance of the Contractor to assure compliance with contract and code requirements and NYSDOT requirements. We’ll look to you to plan and coordinate all field inspection activities and review the Field Engineer’s Daily reports to ensure compliance with job specifications. You’ll also be responsible for responding to various field issues, tracking job progress and submitting any relevant reports.

• Supervise the construction inspection personnel assigned within all engineering disciplines and assures that the construction quality Assurance inspection is completed properly, in a timely manner and in accordance with the contract documents and NYSDOT requirements

• Be mindful of Constructability Reviews during Preconstruction

• Verify that tests, observations and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in conjunction with plans and specifications and NYSDOT requirements

• Assist in responding to RFIs

• Review of detailed requisitions for equipment and completed work

• Provide field information (photos, drawing markups, field measurements) to design personnel when needed

• Conduct preliminary review of submittals

Typical salary range for this position is $120,000 to $170,000- and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, with NYSDOT PE license.

• Substantial years of experience in managing DB projects as Quality Assurance Resident Engineer and construction of Infrastructure projects.

• Experience with construction elements of bridge projects.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• Experience on New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) projects

• Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license

• 10 Hour OSHA
