Description
- Scope emerging technologies and identify new optical module solution and optical characterization methods to further enhance image quality- Quantitatively and qualitatively assess benefits and trade-offs to user experience- Designing failure analysis experiments for technology integration- Effectively communicate the advantages, disadvantages and risks to the broader team
Key Qualifications
  • Solid background in at least two of the following areas: Geometrical optics, Physical optics, Fourier optics; Imaging and image processing; Computational imaging/displays; Camera/3D displays calibration and/or 3D geometry; Displays optics and human perception; Optical modeling software (Zemax is preferred)
  • Proficient in at-least one of the Matlab/Python/Lua
  • Experience in calibration and metrology methodologies used in optics, computational displays and cameras.
  • Experience in mathematical modeling and statistical analysis
Education & Experience
BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Additional Requirements
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • - Experience in consumer electronics
  • - Experience managing domestic and international vendors
  • - Prior experiences in prototyping new technologies
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
