Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiated
Drive raw material price negotiation process to ensure that Tesla’s commodity pricing meet Best-In-Class expectations, while meeting Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality, in addition to driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad-hoc price negotiations
Monitor secondary metal industry trends, and actively partner with the manufacturing team to lower total cost of operations and identify and mitigate supply and demand risk
Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews
Participate in any operations reviews, change control meetings, and other technical discussions with engineering and manufacturing partners
Communicate key supply, cost, and/or quality issues with management teams and develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or Engineering, evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in supply chain management, metal commodity management, preferably aluminum or secondary scrap market; foundry and casting operations knowledge is a plus
Ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and influence timely decisions with key stakeholders to support our mission
Demonstrated ability to work in team environment to achieve business objectives
Passionate about Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy
Ability to travel up to 15%, possibly on short notice
