What You’ll Do
  • Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiated
  • Drive raw material price negotiation process to ensure that Tesla’s commodity pricing meet Best-In-Class expectations, while meeting Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality, in addition to driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad-hoc price negotiations
  • Monitor secondary metal industry trends, and actively partner with the manufacturing team to lower total cost of operations and identify and mitigate supply and demand risk
  • Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews
  • Participate in any operations reviews, change control meetings, and other technical discussions with engineering and manufacturing partners
  • Communicate key supply, cost, and/or quality issues with management teams and develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or Engineering, evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, metal commodity management, preferably aluminum or secondary scrap market; foundry and casting operations knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and influence timely decisions with key stakeholders to support our mission
  • Demonstrated ability to work in team environment to achieve business objectives
  • Passionate about Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy
  • Ability to travel up to 15%, possibly on short notice
