Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will be an advocate for Data Collection and Quality in Amazon FCs. You will support FC teams to maintain their AFT-deployed systems in order produce optimal-quality data in the field. You will be a subject-matter expert in how to maintain and operate AFT systems, and will be a mentor to Support Engineers in the team while training field teams to excel in their roles.A day in the life
The Field Support Technician is a travel-heavy role, where each week brings you to a new city with a different set of FCs, each with its own AFT Data Collection systems. You will engage with one or more FCs per week to plan and run training sessions, check the operational status of fielded systems, assist with targetted troubleshooting, be a representative of AFT in the field, and mentor your teammates to develop their skills. You will support trouble ticketing for global issues.Frequently, you may run into technical challenges where you will work with AFT engineers and developers to remedy.

- 5+ years of technical support experience
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Equivalent technical work experience in Engineering Technology
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time including internationally
- Familiarity with basic tools and mechanical processes
- Experience writing SOPs and developing training materials and documentation for end-users.
