Description
In this role you will partner with cross-functional teams such as electrical, controls, and embedded FW engineers to realize mechatronic system designs.Responsibilities include:Mechanical design (3D and 2D drawings)Mechanism design and integrationElectrical component integration (sensors, electronics, wiring, and harnesses)Prototype, evaluate, develop, and harden designsClose collaboration with cross-functional teams
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in mechanical engineering or similar field
- 1+ years of hands-on, mechanism and mechatronic product design experience
- Experience selecting and integrating electronics, sensors, and mechanisms in challenging packaging environments
- Strong mechanical engineering analytical skills
- Experience selecting materials and manufacturing processes based on engineering requirements
- Experience working in technical project groups in a professional environment
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and creating 2D drawings
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including emails, preparing slide presentations, and presenting technical concepts to multi-disciplinary teams
- Detail orientated and capable of handling multiple assignments at once
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in mechanical engineering or similar field
- Fluent in Siemens NX including surfacing tools
- Experience working through entire product cycle including shipping product experience
- Experience leading teams through product development cycle from concept development to production bring up
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
