A day in the life
As an NDE in the InfraComms team, you will be responsible for:
Handling both reactive and proactive operational issues related to AWS's external network services such as PNI, Public Peering, Transit, Embedd Caches, and Backbone.
Engaging in advanced triaging for critical services and maintaining ownership of troubleshooting and communication.
You will also enhance and develop mechanism to further improve AWS network processes for a better availability and connectivity.About AWSDiverse Experiences

About the team
You will be working alongside a diverse group of Network Development Engineers from the AMER, APAC, and EMEA regions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree from in Computer Science or related area.
- Experience with major routing protocols, specifically BGP.
- Experience of optical transport (passive and active Layer 1/WDM) operations and networks, auutomation via Bash/Shell scripting and Perl/Python programming.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master’s degree from in Computer Science or related area -
- Experience in designing and operating large-scale, production networks.
- Experience in routing protocols, network operation and/ or implementation.
- Experience in fiber-optical network designing.
