Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant in our SAP Financial Services practice,you will play a vital role in aligning client business needs with technical solutions. In our EY Consulting practice, we pride ourselves on being trusted partners as clients navigate complex technological transformations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and objectives, providing expert guidance on S/4HANA Upgrade (Migration & Conversion) capabilities.
  • Workshops Support: Assist in requirement-gathering workshops to elicit detailed technical requirements.
  • Technical Design: Contribute to the design and documentation of migration and conversion processes to the SAP S/4HANA platform, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client specifications. This includes experience with maintenance planner for generating stack XML files, migration approaches, target system architecture of SAP S/4HANA on RISE, client strategy, and integration documentation.
  • Build & Unit Testing: Work with technical teams to facilitate the build of the SAP S/4HANA system and conduct smoke testing to ensure that infrastructure meets business requirements.
  • Integration Testing: Support integration testing, helping clients validate end-to-end process flows and ensuring seamless interactions between the SAP S/4HANA platform and other SAP/non-SAP systems.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Provide guidance during UAT, assisting clients in validating the system against their business requirementsand addressing any issues that arise.
  • Deployment & Go-Live Support: Participate in deployment of the SAP S/4HANA application, ensuring successful implementation and transition to operational status.

Skills and attributes for success

As a Senior Consultant specializing in S/4HANA Upgrade (RISE Migration & Conversion), you will support ERP platform upgrades across engagements with Financial Services clients.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Over 3 years of SAP BASIS experience and 2+ years of SAP ECC to S/4HANA upgrade experience, including at least 2 full lifecycle upgrades or migrations
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and RISE with SAP implementation
  • Implementation experience in end-to-end Fiori deployment
  • Knowledge of technical integration with upstream and downstream applications (e.g., ADP, SAC, Analysis for office, Concur, ServiceNow, Vertex)
  • Strong expertise in SAP BASIS, HANA database administration, and cloud architecture
  • Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and best practices for cloud migrations
  • Experience with tools such as SAP Cloud ALM, SUM, DMO, and other SAP migration tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills
  • A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • SAP certification(s) related to S/4HANA and S/4HANA upgrade for cloud migration
  • Over 2 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry (Banking/Insurance)
  • Basic knowledge of ABAP development, reporting solutions and integration tools with SAP S/4HANA
  • A post-graduate or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $101,500 to $186,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $121,700 to $211,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
