Job Summary
The Payment Process Analyst focuses on day to day operational payments processes and automation, monitoring, controlling and analysis. The role includes process improvement responsibilities by supporting the implementation of products/processes and infrastructure to allow business growth and connected trip. The Payment Process Analyst is the first point of contact for Payment Process Specialists on payment related queries.
Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Work on daily ongoing payments processes with a critical mentality in order to make recommendations on how to eliminate manual work and make processes scalable. Propose, advocate for and support implementation of process improvements as required.
Responsible of daily payment processes to ensure success (Accuracy and Timeliness ) in payouts and help improve on blockers to success ratio
Develop, implement and perform control procedures timely and accurately to decrease financial risks and proactively identify payout and clearing issues.
Identifies innovative ideas to improve the customer & partner journey, and increase efficiency.
Communicate proactively and clearly with stakeholders on issues to indicate progress and to resolve issues.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy in communication on tickets raised by stakeholders as per set KPI’S and SLA
Support company initiatives and priorities while assisting in implementing new change initiatives.
Liaise with External Vendors and confirm that Booking.com policies and processes are being followed.
Support initiatives around external vendor while acting as intermediary between the company and the vendors
Perform user management creation as well Merchant account enablement while being responsible for controls and support user rights review
Create and maintain and review comprehensive documentation of payment processes, policies, and procedures
Liaise with teams within Booking.com to understand and drive understanding of business needs and Influence the internal stakeholders on product development from financial operational perspective
Educating internal teams on online payments-related inbound topics.
Support Ad-hoc projects and requests as requested
Monitor & execute payments to payment service providers, properties and customers and ensure they are processed correctly and in a timely manner and proactively identify payout issues.
Analyze payment data to detect discrepancies, anomalies, and trends, and take corrective actions if needed. Drive resolution that requires coordination across several teams as required.
Work with Data and Fintech teams to ensure the Payment Execution Team has the insights it needs. Support and advocate for a data driven culture within the team and with your stakeholders.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies in all payment activities
Handle daily/Weekly and month end reconciliation activities. Support on Audits as required
Requirements of special knowledge/skills
- 3 -5 years of experience as a Payments Analyst
Background in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.
Accurate with good attention to detail.
Process excellence and experience in continuous improvement;
Strong organizational and prioritizing skills. Able to work under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrate relentless tenacity to drive business objectives and deliver results;
Driven to operate at scale and reduce manual efforts
Data Driven with a passion to develop insights and drive data and analytical maturity;
Run and execute SQL queries, SAP knowledge; expert in Microsoft Suite or Google Suite (sheet, slides, docs)
