Financial Services Organization: Data & Analytics Manager- Data Governance & Controls: This position could be located in NY, NJ, NC, IL, MA, VA, TX.Your Key Responsibilities
You will be leading diverse teams of professionals across different geographies to deliver a wide range of data and analytics services focused on defining data and analytics strategies, performing assessments, recommending remediation strategies/solutions based on aggregated view of identified gaps, and designing/implementing future state data and analytics solutions. You will be solving complex issues and responsible for driving growth across financial services.

To qualify for the role you must have
- Undergraduate or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. engineering, computer science, business, economics, finance, statistics, and/or analytics)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in banking, capital markets, insurance or asset management in a Data Scientist or Business Intelligence role with at least 3 years of experience managing a team
- Superior communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions and results to technology and business audiences at all levels and disciplines within EY and client organizations
- Experience presenting analytical conclusions to senior officials in a company and other stakeholders
- Superior communication (verbal and written) with the ability to lead meetings, hold workshops with executives, effectively advocate technical solutions and results to technology and business audiences
- Proven application of advanced analytical and statistical methods in the financial services space
- Experience working independently, efficiently and effectively under extreme time constraints and delivering results by critical deadlines
- Collaborate with our data scientists to map data fields to hypotheses and curate, wrangle, and prepare data for use in their advanced analytical models
- Demonstrated senior-level leadership (thought leadership or people leadership e.g. managed project teams or direct reports) in engaging with C-level executives and technical clients
- Practical experience in leading and managing teams through a product life cycle – requirements, design, development and testing
- Practical experience using latest technologies for data ingestion, storage, mining/warehousing, big data analytics, manipulation, and visualization
- Practical experience and familiarity with some of the following tools and technologies:
- SAS, R, Python, SPSS, MapR, Flume, Hue, Impala, predictive analytics, Tableau, Spotfire, and Java
- Meaningful experience in multiple database technologies such as:
- Distributed Processing (Spark, Hadoop, EMR)
- Traditional RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- MPP (AWS Redshift, Teradata),
- NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, Titan)
- Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Platform, Databricks)
- Experience with client-facing activities such as requirements gathering, facilitating meetings, presentation creation, and ability to prepare client ready deliverables
- Ability to quantify improvement in business areas resulting from optimization techniques through use of business analytics and/or statistical modeling
- Ability to integrate new knowledge and adapt to change with a natural curiosity and desire to learn
- Project management and process development expertise in client serving roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into analytics solutions
- Excellent leadership and teaming skills
- A willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 60%
Ideally, you'll also have
- Prior consulting experience
- Experience monitoring performance, reporting, and economics of ongoing progress for the major initiatives of the business unit you support.
- Experience working independently, efficiently and effectively under extreme time constraints and delivering results by critical deadlines
- Experience quantifying results to the business, from the front line to senior executives

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $124,300 to $227,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $149,200 to $259,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
