Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
Experience and/or education must include:
Stress, Strain and Fracture Mechanics for root cause investigation and failure analysis using knowledge of fractography basic Mechanics
Performing electrical failure analysis and triage, including IV curve tracing, probing, waveform collection and fault isolation
Performing GD&T, including Tolerance analysis, Keyence optical microscopy, OMM measurements and summarization with JMP tool, to enable dimensional analysis for new product qualification, root cause any product integration issues
Conducting Statistics, including analysis of distributions, sigma/Cpk review, or Weibull distributions as part of lifetime analysis, to compare populations, identify trends and assess product risk
Utilizing Python programming to automate supplier workflows by creating scripts to consolidate data as well as automate it by tying it to a visualization front-end like tableau
Developing skillset to objectively review technical reports from factory, vendors and engineering labs to validate or disprove hypothesis, aid in root cause analysis or support validations
Applying quality practices, including 5Why, Fishbone, Hypothesis table to standardize problem solving approaches
Utilizing large data toolsets like commonality analysis, t-test to evaluate product population performance
