Business Support:

  • Support management routines for the Canada Branch

  • New Hire Onboarding

  • Financial Reporting including Ad hoc requests

  • Access Control Representative/Application Access

  • Invoice Processing

  • Business Continuity

Administration Support/Oversight:

  • Draft Print for cheque disbursement process

  • Action internal partner inquiries/troubleshooting in a timely manner

  • Oversee inventory and supply order requirements for the branch including custom draft stock

Gap/Risk Assessments & Operational Efficiency:

  • Analyze current processes to assess and mitigate risk

  • Review current processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions to save cost and increase efficiency

Governance Oversight:

  • Execute governance processes for key horizontal functions including Procedure/Process Maps, DOA Limits, MFA, SharePoint, FileNet, BCMR, etc

  • Ensure consistency and quality of procedures across each functional area

Health & Safety:

  • Evaluate facility operations and personnel for safety and health regulations compliance

  • Enhance safety standards by conducting regular facility inspections and addressing potential hazards promptly

Audit:

  • Support audit and contingency testing

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience within Operations environment with a financial institution

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience > 5 years

  • Knowledge of payment processes and Canadian clearing systems/rules an asset

  • Ability to execute tasks assigned with exceptional quality and accuracy

  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and keyboarding skills; knowledge of Visio would be an asset

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to write procedures and desktop job aids

  • Ability to multi-task and identify root cause of payment failures or errors

  • Strong accounting skills

  • Team player with strong people and customer service skills

  • Experience working on projects and initiatives, supporting requirement discussions, testing preparation & execution and deployment activities

  • Ability to meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks, as required

  • Availability to work shifts, statutory holidays, and weekends, as required
