Plant Controller Western Pennsylvania – Murrysville, PA

The Plant Controller Western PA leads the financial performance management and control for of our two sites in Murrysville – which will be outsourced to an external supplier. The Plant Controller will support to manage this footprint change, and will transition into a Purchasing Controller role, which manages the financial control of our external supplier.

Your role:

  • Working proactively with business stakeholders to identify and deliver core improvement initiatives. Key stakeholders are the Head of Finance and the Plant Leaders of the Western PA sites.

  • Proactively develop forward-looking information on factory cost, FTEs and absorption. Communicate and align financial performance and expectations with business stakeholders.

  • Identifying and implementing changes to ways of working to drive effectiveness, efficiency, and results. Active involvement in the execution of strategic operational projects.

  • Ensure accuracy and transparency of the P&L and balance sheet, with key focus on factory cost, absorption, and factory cost prices.

  • Coordination of month-end close activity, including journal entry preparation and reconciliations. Maintaining a strong internal control environment and periodically assessing effectiveness. Supporting inquiries and data requests from Philips’ external audit teams.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience in Finance with a focus on Factories or Supply Chain. Prior accounting or internal control experience is a plus.

  • You will influence stakeholders and effectively delegate work to the General Business Service team.

  • Your skills include a deep understanding of financial control, accounting and business analysis, and excellent PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SAP).

  • You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics.

  • You’re an analytical person with critical thinking skills. You can translate insights into concrete actions. Fast learner, adaptable to a dynamic business environment, and take pride in problem solving. Lean certification is a plus.

The pay range for this position in (PA) is $77,000 to $132,000
