This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• A Pre-Construction Project Manager drives results through communicating, managing risk, making decisions, leading and influencing and conflict resolution. Independently manages complex, cross-functional commercial builds from site selection through design completion, permitting and contract execution. Transitioning all projects at the point of full capital funding to Construction Management.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders including real estate site selections & transactions, D&C design managers, central estimating , entitlements, construction, finance, Project Initiation for due diligence effort, architects, engineers, federal/state/municipal permitting agencies, developers and landlords to secure resources, scope infrastructure builds, set priorities, milestones, drive delivery to meet deadlines, and resolves issues.
• Manage vendor procurement, and oversee professional service providers ensuring their skills and competencies meet the needs required of entitling property and projects.
• Schedule development & management, including design and permitting; selection of other vendors.
• Prepare and present project status/risk reports, and provide clear and concise summaries for projects under your ownership to leadership and management teams.
• Comprehensive budget and schedule tracking and forecasting are fundamental responsibilities, as well as identifying and solving factors that may impede a successful project hand-over to PNC stakeholders.The position will require travel up to 40% within assigned regions.Job Description
  • Manages the most complex projects from original concept through final implementation and post-project assessment. Accountable for meeting project objectives within established timeframes. May be assigned a single project or a portfolio, requiring extensive planning, oversight, and communication across multiple segments, channels, or lines of business. Typically, project size may be greater than $2.5m.
  • Develops strategy, processes, resource allocation, budget, guidelines and support of project management team.
  • Partners with internal project liaisons to acquire resources, assigns tasks, directs activities, and controls project execution. Coaches and mentors project team members.
  • Tracks and reports progress, analyzes the results based on facts, defines the products of the project, and forecasts future trends in the project. Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, devises contingency plans and recommends improvements based on results.
  • Maintains communications for governing bodies and interested parties. Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
