Your role as an Infrastructure Sr. Tech Analyst for Batch Operations Enterprise Support will be to provide second-level enterprise support within the CTI Global Production Operations Group. The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to implement batch schedules, resolve issues, execute technical tasks and deliver superior quality service.


Responsibilities:

  • To act as the 2nd level of contact for advanced incidents and will be the primary client interface for strategic tools support and responsible for tools administration of batch scheduling.
  • You will be a member of a team that supports all Citi lines of businesses for services like User Acceptance Testing and Production Batch Job Scheduling.
  • Provide 24*7 follow the sun support for critical production problems.
  • Deliver Business and Technology projects requiring JCL understanding, Batch job scheduling application support for UAT and Production environments.
  • You will create technical support documents and Global Process Control Manuals. This includes local administration of internal documentation platforms.
  • We will be advocates of the global strategy by developing our highly-collaborative workforce to use global standard tools and processes.
  • Develop partnerships with customers, handle expectations and customer concerns.
  • Communicate and carry out compliance to the policies, standards, procedures to users in handling change requests.
  • Drive transformation/lean projects that will optimize business operations and improve current process efficiency and effectiveness.

The Batch Operations Level 2 Support role is a technical position and therefore all skills proven are transferable to any other technical positions. Knowledge/Experience:

  • Familiarity with batch scheduling, JCL language, TSO, and ISPF interfaces as well as file transfer concepts and practices.
  • Understanding of Mainframe Fundamentals, LPARS, z/OS, SDSF, z/VM technologies and TWS/z
  • Understanding of ServiceNow and its modules Change, Incident, Problem and Knowledge Base.
  • Knowledge of Connect Direct is a plus.
  • A sound history of building good teamwork with customers and strong customer focus.
  • Confidence and previous experience of representing the needs of their group and presenting to senior management.
  • Capability to absorb and understand technical information and demonstrates good judgment and “business sense” in choosing alternatives and making final decisions.
  • Accurately anticipates and identifies problems/issues and resolves possible causes, generates and carries out solutions.
  • Excellent customer and team management skills
  • Ability to influence the decision of senior management to deliver improved services for our customers.
  • Knowledgeable of Lean Six Sigma or Citi Lean Methodology.

  • Experience in working with a large-scale data processing environments.

Skills:

  • Hands on experience with mainframe LPARS, z/OS and maintaining and protecting batch workloads.
  • Strong knowledge of z/OS on mainframe and distributed environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of IBM TWS/z. Current plan concepts, LTP, Loops, Predecessor and Successor Jobs, and logs.
  • Mainframe REXX skills are a plus.
  • Ability to progress complex tasks either as part of a team or working alone.
  • Ability to communicate well across all levels (written and verbally).
  • Ability to represent the team in key planning sessions with Technical and Business representatives.
  • Ability to lead through influence and a keen understanding of business dynamics.
  • Innovative. Well versed in developing new ideas and improving current processes.


Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate must have at least 5+ years of experience on working with IBM TWS/z and Mainframe.
  • ITIL certification desirable.
  • Experience with handling batch management services on mainframe or distributed environments.
  • Excellent time management, strong project and analytical skills applicable across different functions, products and portfolios.
  • Considers broad implications of decisions on different functions and products.
  • Availability to provide weekend on-call coverage on a rotating basis.
  • Good communication, presentation, and written skills.
  • Strong collaboration, influence, and negotiation skills.
