The job is responsible for providing strategic and sophisticated legal guidance while working under the supervision of an attorney. This job requires strong decision-making and sound judgment. Key responsibilities include drafting legal guidance and court filings in collaboration with internal and external counsels and conducting research and analyzing data.
Responsibilities:
- Liaises directly with internal clients to offer practical and succinct legal guidance
- Collaborates with other paralegals, attorneys and outside counsel as needed on certain complex or high-risk matters
- Evaluates laws, rules and regulations and provides concise written analysis
- Researches relevant facts and case law to inform legal support for specific transactions or internal projects
- Works with business and control partners on audit and other control issues

Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience in securities law or other banking/financial institution experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to accurately draft, edit, and summarize documents and communications
- Demonstrated capacity for managing competing priorities, effective time management, thoroughness, and initiative.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite and other related software
Desired Qualifications:
- Paralegal Certification preferred
Minimum Education Requirement:
- High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
