The Program
During the first two years of employment, Fusion engineers go through a series of rotational assignments and work on cutting-edge designs to enable next generation technologies. The rotations typically consist of three or four unique engineering departmental assignments. These rotations help Fusion members and managers determine where the Fusion member will flourish in their full-time position at Applied Materials.
Responsibilities
Our early career Electrical Engineers at the Bachelor’s level perform routine assignments under the guidance of senior engineers. You will develop competence in the role by performing structured work assignments while using existing procedures to solve both routine and standard problems. Electrical Engineers work with a range of technologies, including Plasma Physics, Automation & Control Systems, Motion Control, Power Distribution & RF power generation and delivery components as well as PCB analog & digital circuit design.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate the procurement and assembly ofelectrical/electroniccomponents/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve basic technical issues
Design or modifyelectrical/electronicengineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detaileddrawings/specificationsof limited scope under direct supervision
Perform basic engineering analysis under direct supervision
Perform and generate basic engineering test reports under direct supervision
Generate related alpha/gamma documentation for product release
Troubleshoot a variety of basic electrical problems
Effective use of engineering processes in the resolution of generally difficult electrical problems of limited scope
