You will work on the mechanical design, integration, and validation of the next generation iPhone touch sensors. You will work with and learn from a talented group of engineers with expertise in electrical engineering, thin-films, quality, process, reliability, and more. As your expertise grows within the role, you will inform hardware designs to enhance and create new customer experiences.As one of the mechanical experts of Touch technology on your project, your activities will include:
- 2+ years of experience in a mechanical design, failure analysis, or validation role.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse cross-functional team and external vendors to achieve project goals.
- Familiarity with analysis techniques (tolerance analysis, Monte Carlo analsyis, FEA, CT, X-ray, FIB/SEM/EDX, design-of-experiments, etc.) to inform failure analysis and root cause analysis.
- Strong technical curiosity and desire to learn
- Ability to inform design intent (requirements) and to define path-to-validation
- Excellent written, verbal, visual, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in statistical analysis in MATLAB or JMP
- Familiarity with building 3D CAD and drafting 2D technical drawings
- Familiarity with sensor technology, analog/digital signals, flex circuits, IC packaging.
