Primary Roles and Responsibilities
The Federal Contracts Negotiator will be responsible
- Ensuring compliance with:
- The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and its various Supplements, including FAR Parts 12 and 15.
- Procurement integrity laws and regulations.
- Information technology laws, regulations and legislation, including requirements relating to
Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification
(CMMC
), the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and theTrade Agreements Act (TAA). - Export control laws and regulations.
- Government-wide acquisition contracts (GWAC), including General Services Administration (GSA) schedules.
- The systems and processes involved with the U.S. Government’s System for Award Management (SAM) and Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System(CPARS).
- Understanding key stakeholder needs and developing solutions for maximum impact.
- Working with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to assess, quantitatively valuate, and resolve protests, contract disputes, claims/adjustments and government investigations.
- Exercising independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.
- Contributing to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
- Communicating effectively across functions, siloes and multiple management levels.
- Leading or assisting with the resolution of contract disputes with existing customers, partners and vendors.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
- Between 7-10 years of relevant contracts experience in federal government contracting;
