U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Big Data Solutions Engineer (multiple positions) in Irving, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) solutions into Enterprise Landing Zone (ELZ).
  • Architect software solutions to optimize production and operation success by automation, active alerting, and leading the resolution of production issues to ensure high-availability and performance.
  • Drive software release planning and execution with end-to-end understanding and insights, including effort, risk, and priority, of the planned features.
  • Develop high-quality code, define best engineering practice, and perform peer code reviews to ensure successful software deliverable with engineering excellence.
  • Document software engineering artifacts, such as technical design documents, flowcharts, system context diagrams, and code comments.
  • Design new pipelines to schedule and orchestrate big data pipelines loading data into Apache HIVE tables.

Basic Qualifications:

Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 2 years in a Software Developer, or related, occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:


Must include 2 years of experience with each of the following:

Designing Big Data Pipelines and RESTful Web Services using Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, AWS CloudFormation, Bit bucket pipelines, GIT, Serverless, AWS EMR, AWS Glue, Databricks, and Docker; Developing APIs using Python and GraphQ; Using AWS cloud formation templates to develop infrastructure as a code; and Developing orchestration mechanism to integrate several functionalities using AWS Lambda, AWS SNS, AWS SQS, AWS DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, and Apigee.
