Join our North America Asset managers and Corporate Mortgage finance team within the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) as a Payments Sales Associate. This strategic sales and relationship management group is dedicated to managing relationships with large Asset managers and Corporate Mortgage companies in North America. You'll play a crucial role in managing and growing the Payments relationships with our clients, delivering the firm’s Payments products effectively.
As a Payments Sales Associate within our Asset Managers and Corporate Mortgage Finance Team, you will play a critical role in managing and growing the Payments relationships with our large Asset Managers and Corporate Mortgage Finance clients. You will support Payments Sales Managers and Payments Business Development Managers with sales efforts and day-to-day relationship support of clients in our segment. This includes proactive client engagement, collaboration with multiple internal partners, and development of solutions to meet strategic and complex needs of our corporate clients. You will also support key programs such as content creation, corporate treasury, interest rate, pricing and billing management, escalated servicing and implementation issues.
Job responsibilities
- Assist PSM’s with the management of cross-functional/regional deals - support new bids by coordinating with product partners to develop solutions, understand/build pricing and profitability models, support RFP/RFI submissions, prepare client research, pitch materials, etc.
- Gain a firm understanding of clients Treasury and Payments objectives and build a deep understanding of the Asset management and coporate mortgage industries for our clients, including understanding the transition factors, payments models for in- or out-of the flow of funds, and new business models being developed to meet the needs of our clients’ customers
- Develop account plans, briefing memos and support relationship reviews in partnership with the client service organization; understand the client's account structure, cash flow, product usage and global setup
- Develop strong relationships within client’s Treasury organizations - anticipate client needs/challenges and proactively engage appropriate J.P. Morgan Payments partners to develop comprehensive solutions
- Coordinate/negotiate KYC and onboarding documentation, internal credit processes, and help manage seamless integration with implementation partners - engage appropriate escalation points where necessary to meet client needs while managing expectations
- Review and analyze transactional data to identify key trends, risks, pricing/billing inefficiencies and conduct pricing analysis and provide go forward strategy/recommendations
- Think outside the box, identify new ways to advance team wide initiatives, and contribute as the voice of the client in cross-functional partner engagement to ensure alignment with broader firm wide interests and the client’s objectives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3 + years experience in cash management, transaction banking, merchant acquiring or related field and basic understanding of the Asset management and Corporate Mortgage finance Industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex problems into concise conclusions
- Goal oriented with the ability to foster innovation and solve problems creatively
- Strong time management, organizational and planning skills and ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently with keen attention to follow-up coordination
- Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Investment banking, commercial banking, corporate practioner or management consulting experience
- Ability to create client facing content leveraging PowerPoint or similar design tools
- JPMorgan Payments with a keen focus on Treasury Services
