What You’ll Do
  • Lead and inspire the Service Logistics team to manage outbound deliveries to Tesla’s network or service centers and collision centers, including external customers
  • Develop and implement robust processes and systems that streamline the transportation of specialized goods, including route optimization for multiple destinations at the lowest cost and reverse logistics
  • Ensure full compliance with global regulations, including hazardous materials handling, export/import requirements, and industry-specific logistics standards
  • Collaborate closely with 3rd party logistics providers, internal teams, and Tesla warehouses to maintain a smooth flow of materials while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and optimal cost
  • Align efforts with organization’s goals to increase customer service while reducing cost through efficient management of internal resources and external partners
  • Improve all processes associated with internal fleet management, from dispatch functions to down time reduction and maximization of utilization
  • Champion the standardization of best practices and create a unified distribution manual that emphasizes compliance and efficiency
  • Drive change and compliance with logistics metrics and goals, which includes but is not limited to facilitating cross-functional meetings to address and resolve complex logistics challenges
  • Ability to influence others is a must in this role
  • Proactively identify and address operational needs, including process improvements, resource optimization, and compliance risk mitigation
What You’ll Bring
  • 7-10 year of experience in logistics management, with a strong background in distribution, route optimization, internal fleet and reverse logistics
  • Deep knowledge of dangerous goods and DOT regulations
  • At least 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing compliance processes for hazardous materials and international shipments
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy, while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Track record of success in managing end-to-end projects with high impact on efficiency metrics and cost reduction. Ability to influence others and understand top priorities of the organization and pivot accordingly
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
