As a Solution Architect, you will have depth in knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Power Platform which enable you lead and participate in enterprise solution implementations, including all project phases such as discovery, definition, build, test and deploy. You will be an integral part of the delivery team to ensure the solutions built for our clients meet their needs to help drive their success through various methods such as solution blueprints, design reviews and cross-workstream collaborations to provide a total solution.
Your Key Responsibilities
You will focus on the evaluation, design, customization and optimization of Power Platform-based solutions. You will team with various EY groups with digital capabilities to pursue and deliver digital engagements and deliver solutions that will bring our client’s digital vision and strategy to life.
You'll work with the client to define their requirements, guide the team for any concept training and then you'll design the system architecture through team collaboration. You will provide guidance and oversight of data migration as well as any required customizations; reviewing functional design documents and working with the development team as needed to ensure that the customizations meet the client needs and follow Microsoft best practices. You will not need to be a developer, but you will need to understand technologies and development approaches and integration tools that can be leveraged throughout the implementation and impact that using any of those tools may have on the solution.
Skills and attributes for success
- Designs the solution architecture for Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform solutions customized to meet the identified customer business needs
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM & Power Platform
- Utilizes knowledge of Microsoft solutions to accurately estimate the effort required to deploy a configured system
- Actively collaborate and review functional design documents for required customizations
- Leads client discussions to review possible solutions to the business requirements presented, leveraging standard functionality where possible
- Coordinates across multidisciplinary teams and collaborates with functional analysts, architects, and developers, communicating requirements for a complete solution
- Monitors the progress and quality of the project in collaboration with the project manager and project governance team
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Systems or related field (MBA a plus)
- Successful candidates for this role typically have 7+ years of related work experience including experience in system design or information systems
- Minimum of 5-year experience (or 5+ projects) implementing Microsoft Dynamics and/or Power Platform technologies and have hands-on experience with configuration and customizations
- Familiar with relational database concepts
- Self-starter and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent communication, leadership and client development skills
- Demonstrated experience leading client discussions and presentations
- Microsoft certifications a plus, but not required
- Ability to travel to meet client demand
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Degree emphasis in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, MIS, Mathematics desired; Master’s degree in one of these areas preferred
- Certifications and prior consulting experience highly preferred

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $137,700 to $252,400. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $165,200 to $286,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
