Your Impact
- Design, implement, and maintain campus and data center network architectures
- Configure and manage network devices (routers, switches, SDWAN, wireless controller, access points, firewalls)
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions
- Build / mature observability for campus and data center networks
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other IT staff
- Bachelor's degree in technical, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent military experience required
- 9 plus years of relevant work experience
- Design, deploy, and manage LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi networks across the campus
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues with switches, routers, firewalls, and access points
- Maintain and configure core and distribution switches, wireless controllers, and edge devices.
- Perform regular network upgrades, patch management, and security audits
- Implement and manage network access controls, VLANs, QoS, and IP address management (IPAM).
- Ensure network documentation is current, including topology diagrams, configurations, and SOPs
- Respond to and resolve network incidents, and participate in on-call rotation
- Work with vendors and service providers to resolve hardware/software issues or implement new solutions
- Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and suggest improvements or innovations
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or similar enterprise networking equipment
- Familiarity with Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and wireless site surveys
- Understanding of network security best practices, including firewall configuration and VPNs
- Hands-on experience SDWAN device / deployments
