Your role and responsibilities

As a Software Development Manager, you’ll manage software development, enhance product experiences, and scale our CephFS team’s capabilities. You’ll manage careers, streamline hiring, collaborate with product management, and drive innovation. We seek proactive professionals passionate about team growth, software architecture, coding, and process enhancements.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Programming Proficiency: Experience in a modern programming language (C++, Go, Python).

  • Distributed Systems Experience : Ceph is a loosely-coupled, distributed storage architecture. Understanding of loosely coupled and shared nothing architectures is required.

  • Storage : Understanding that for our customer, data is a corporate asset.

  • Scalable Solution Design: Firsthand experience in designing and implementing scalable Software-Defined-Storage solutions.

  • Management Experience: Expertise both as a people manager and an individual contributor. Ability to communicate with a global team is a must.

Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Cloud Computing: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud computing platforms.

  • Full-Stack Development Mastery: Expertise in both front-end and back-end development.

  • Data Pipeline Proficiency: Familiarity with data pipelining solutions.
