Reporting to the Tech Director of the Global Commercial A.I. Centre of Excellence, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our web and mobile platforms. You will work closely with internal commercial employees, including sales, marketing, and product teams, to understand their needs and drive the development of intuitive applications. Your mission is to create an engaging digital experience that empowers our internal teams and improves the way we connect with healthcare professionals and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- User Experience Strategy
- Define and execute the user experience strategy for web and mobile applications, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and organizational goals
- Collaborate with internal commercial employees to gather insights and feedback that inform design decisions and usability enhancements
- Conduct usability testing and user research to continuously improve the digital experience for both internal users and external stakeholders
- Integrate AI-driven features that enhance user experience, such as personalized recommendations, chatbots for customer support, and predictive analytics for user engagement
- Digital Applications Development
- Lead the end-to-end development of web and mobile applications, ensuring high-quality, user-centric solutions that meet the needs of internal commercial teams
- Oversee the integration of AI technologies and digital tools to enhance the functionality and performance of applications
- Foster collaboration between IT, design, and commercial teams to ensure seamless implementation and adoption of digital solutions
- Operational Excellence
- Establish best practices for applications development, focusing on user experience, usability, accessibility standards, and AI integration
- Monitor applications performance and user engagement metrics, leveraging data-driven insights to inform ongoing improvements and enhancements
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the digital solutions team, emphasizing the role of AI in transforming user experiences
- Leadership & Team Development
- Provide strategic leadership to the applications development team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Mentor and coach team members, promoting professional growth and the development of skills in user experience design, applications development, and AI technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment of digital initiatives with overall business strategy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, User Experience Design, or in a related field
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in applications development, with a strong focus on web and mobile platforms
- Proven experience in leading user experience design and development initiatives for commercial applications, with a focus on AI integration
- Strong understanding of usability principles, user-centered design methodologies, and best practices in applications development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal commercial teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making, particularly leveraging AI insights
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools
- Expertise in working with business intelligence tools and analytics platforms to drive user engagement insights
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and their impact on user experience
