Advisory Senior Consultant, Payments Testing

Your Key Responsibilities
Everything you’ll do will come back to providing exceptional testing subject matter expertise and solving complex problems that make a difference for our clients. Skills and attributes for success
- Define the test strategy, planning, implementing and quality assurance for large complex projects
- Teaming with business organizations to facilitate Integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and End to end testing.
- Demonstrated deep experience in one or several of the following industry functions: Banking and Capital Markets
- Demonstrated leadership to successfully deliver management consulting and transformation efforts, leading multi-disciplinary teams including client team members.
- Share your knowledge and developing engagement tools and enablers to build capability for the practice
- Develop client relationships across multiple levels and support sales efforts

- Design and develop testing frameworks and strategies for payment processing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior testing engineers, providing technical leadership and promoting best practices in quality engineering.
To qualify, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or a related field and approximately 5 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent collaboration and teaming skills in diverse environments
- Experience with Enterprise Money Movement services and integrations (ACH, Wire, RTP, EFT, etc.).
- Solid understanding of ISO 20022 standards, message formats, and data elements.
- Experience testing payment hubs such as PEGA, Fiserv, FIS, or equivalent.
- Domain expertise in Banking (e.g., Wires, ACH, Debit Cards, Treasury, FX Payments).
- Skilled in designing and executing ISO 20022-based test cases across CHIPS, FEDWIRE, SWIFT, SEPA, CBPR+.
- Exposure to payment simulators like Visa and Mastercard simulator is a plus
- Experience in end-to-end business process testing — from initiation to settlement.
- Knowledge of key regulatory frameworks and compliance standards in the payments space.
- Familiarity with test case optimization, TDM and defect tracking (e.g., JIRA, Octane, ALM).
- Strong analytical and communication skills for issue analysis and stakeholder updates.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Approximately 3 years of financial services or non-financial experience, including, prior consulting experience
- Familiarity with ETL testing. Experience in Altryx is advantage
- Exposure to testing APIs using simple tools like Postman.
- Good knowledge in handling complex XML and Json structures
- Understanding of test reporting and traceability to business requirements.
- Good knowledge of automation or performance testing (e.g., Selenium, JMeter) is a preferred.
- Ability to work in agile or hybrid project environments and collaborate in daily stand-ups.
- A passion for learning ISO standards, simulators, and regulatory updates.
- Knowledge on latest trend and technologies pertaining to Cloud and AI is advantage.

What we offer you
- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $101,500 to $186,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $121,700 to $211,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
