Your Responsibilities Include:
- Lead engineering teams to develop highly capable, scalable, and robust manufacturing processes and technologies, and successfully transfer into operations.
- Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing teams to create innovative and manufacturable product designs.
- Lead teams in the achievement of organizational goals. Recruit, guide, coach, direct and develop direct reports and organizational talent.
- Ensure knowledge driven approach to process and product development, and that functional excellence is exhibited in all product and technology development projects.
- Prioritize and manage execution of the functional deliverables and projects associated with the Product Development Process and Quality System
- Create an inclusive, high-performance, and entrepreneurial environment, while fostering a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
- Demonstrate effective change leadership.
- Build strategic partnerships and effectively collaborate cross-functionally to further departmental and organizational objectives.
- Serve as a technical resource and provide on-going feedback and coaching to direct reports and PD project team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline and 7+ years of related work experience; or master’s degree and 5+ years of related work experience
- 3+ years’ experience as a leader of technical people
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration in a technically demanding environment.
- Experience providing guidance to and training engineering teams associated within development projects, motivate individuals to achieve results, and drive objectives to completion while maintaining a strong working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to travel internationally up to 5-10%
- Working knowledge of Boston Scientific therapies and products
- Proven leadership and management of a technical group providing coaching and development.
- Working knowledge of BSC therapies and products
- Vision to see what technologies are going to be needed in the future and ability to get them started with little oversight or guidance.
- Experience leading teams throughout a product life cycle from exploratory to commercialization and end of life.
- Class II or Class III Medical Device product development experience
