As an Associate - Technology Support III- Production Support within our Investment Information Services division, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and supporting our suite of applications. These applications are crucial to our product offering and provide us with a competitive edge in the marketplace. Your role will involve resolving user and technology issues, supporting and maintaining various Cloud and Linux based applications, and coordinating software deployments. You will also be responsible for managing the relationship between operational users and the technology department. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in relevant systems and to bring a DevOps mindset to the entire software development lifecycle.

Job responsibilities:

  • Resolve all user and technology issues on the Production instance of the data solution application suite.
  • Support and maintenance of the various Cloud and Linux based applications.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the batch jobs
  • Perform AWS/Cloud based monitoring
  • Coordinate and execute of all software deployments into Production environments.
  • Develop specialist knowledge in relevant systems, sharing that knowledge with team members and global partners
  • Liaising with application development and infrastructure teams targeting on-going development, production activity and release management
  • Own major production incidents, working closely with other technology teams in order to resolve business-impacting issues
  • Pro-actively improving the quality of systems and service, and increase business value
  • Bringing a DevOps mind-set to the entire software development life cycle, building, evolving and operating rapidly-changing resilient systems at scale
  • Manage the relationship between the operational users and the technology department. This involves organizing weekly service review meetings and being a key point of escalation for technology issues or concerns within the operational areas.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science with at least 5 years of Application Support experience.
  • Experience supporting AWS cloud based applications
  • Python/Shell ScriptingAWS – S3, EC2, Glue, Apache Spark, Snowflake, Argo Workflows, RDS
  • Application Performance monitoring tools : Datadog/Splunk/AppDynamic/Dynatrace/Grafana
  • Schedulers - Glue/Bridge/Step/Control-M / Autosys
  • Monitoring - Geneos, Datadog / CloudWatch
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills- Ability to understand complex component/system/service interactions and look for causes and provide solutions.
  • Customer Service Orientation - build positive working relationships with customers at all times providing realistic information and managing their expectations

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Prior knowledge in JAVA is a plus
