As a Manufacturing Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be accountable for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.You will report directly to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Duluth, GA location on an Onsite work schedule.
• Provides entry-level support to the radiological group in support of Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Integration Centers in Vancouver, Canada, Tianjin, China and Pune, India.
• Assists in organizing and administering the program for periodic radiological testing of sensors at Honeywell customer sites.
• Assists in the controls of radioactive materials inventories stored in Honeywell facilities, globally.
• Provide routine support to ISC for loading radioactive sources, radioactive material licensing and shipment of radioactive materials.
• Must be willing to work in an environment involving ionizing radiation exposure.
• Be able to respond to emergency calls 24/7 and resolve them within the guidelines that meet or exceed our contract customer expectations and requirements.
• Team player, comfortable with being the lead support person on site.
YOU MUST HAVE• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/physical science/information technology
• 5+ years of experience with flat sheet manufacturing quality control system maintenance OR direct employment with radiation regulatory agency; NRC or state agency.
WE VALUE• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as extensive computer skills, especially in database development and use.
• Green Belt Certified, experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen etc.
