About the role:

Provides support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, optimize existing processes, and ensure that production goals are met. Monitors performance of equipment, machines, and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues. Interfaces with Quality, Research & Development, and Electrical Process Development to integrate new processes into the existing manufacturing area.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • As Engineering process owner for the area: Identifying key activities utilized in quality, service, & cost improvements in the Operations Engineering Cycle to meet key business objectives
  • Continuous monitoring and reporting of variables that feed into the business performance metrics, and proactive identification and resolution of issues around same
  • Establishing and supporting a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Boston Scientific’s Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the area supported
  • Leading technical improvement under the team’s Continuous Improvement Program (GCIBs)
  • Understanding of problem-solving from basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts
  • Interacting cross-functionally and with internal and external customers
  • Ability to develop expert knowledge on Boston Scientific systems, MES, eCAPA, etc.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in science, technology, engineering, or math discipline
  • Understanding of engineering and problem-solving principles, concepts, tools, and techniques, as well as fundamentals of change management and process validation
  • Ability to develop creative solutions and collaboratively draw ideas from cross-functional teams
  • Initiative to identify improvement opportunities, prioritize them, communicate them to the appropriate levels, and see them through to completion

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Internship or experience in a manufacturing environment within the medical device industry, particularly electrophysiology
  • Experience with manufacturing data analysis metrics such as: Pareto charts, Event charts, Yield/Scrap Trends, SAP, MES, Windchill
  • Strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills, proven influence & collaboration are a key competency for this role
  • Experience with troubleshooting, analysis, and repair of equipment
  • Experience with PCBA and repair

Maximum Salary: $ 110500

Compensation fornon-exempt (hourly), non-sales rolesmay also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
