Your ImpactAs a Principal Engineer, your job responsibilities will include:
Build new and exciting components in an ever-growing and evolving market technology to provide scale and efficiency.
Develop high-quality, production-ready code that can be used by millions of users of our applications
Make design decisions on the basis of performance, scalability, and future expansion.
Work in a Hybrid Engineering model and contribute to all phases of SDLC including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing of the features.
Build efficientcomponents/algorithmson a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment
Code review, mentoring junior engineers, and providing technical guidance to the team (depending on the seniority level)
Technical Expertise:
12+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on scalable and distributed systems.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages like Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
Proven expertise in deploying models to production using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Hands on experience with AI model lifecycle: training, fine-tuning, optimization, and deployment.
Architectural Skills:
Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale systems with microservices architecture.
Expertise in API design, integration patterns, and RESTful web services.
Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
Strong understanding of LLMs, neural networks, reinforcement learning, and other advanced AI methodologies.
Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and search algorithms is a plus.
Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and influence cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to lead the design and implementation of complex AI systems.
Experience mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Ability to lead technical discussions and present complex ideas to stakeholders.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
A track record of shipping impactful AI features at scale.
Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing performance for cloud-based applications.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Additional Requirements
Experience with Salesforce products and ecosystems is a plus.
Proficiency in DevOps practices, including monitoring, logging, and operational excellence.
Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their application in enterprise software.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Expertise in security best practices, including encryption, identity management, and secure coding.
Proven ability to work in agile environments, managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
Contributions to open-source projects or a strong presence in technical communities is a plus.
A track record of driving innovation and influencing product roadmaps.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $211,500 to $306,600. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $230,800 to $334,600. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
