Your day-to-dayIn your day-to-day role, you will…
- Lead first line of defense (FLOD) business risk & control Marketing and Communications team, acting as main point of contact for Marketing and Communications business risk activities within PayPal, including Venmo.
- Be a change agent. Create strategies and tactics to drive risk management transformation at PayPal to be best in class.
- Lead the implementation of processes and controls in response to technology, operations, regulatory or policy changes, ensuring Marketing and Communications activities are continuously operating in adherence with internal and external compliance requirements.
- Create best in class risk management solutions that leverage AI and automation wherever possible.
- Lead and participate in cross functional teams to strategize and execute a variety of regulatory, risk & compliance management programs that are significant in scope, complexity and risk, working collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Partner with Legal and the Second Line of Defense teams to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations, and recommend appropriate improvements to ensure that marketing and communications activities comply with these changes.
- Work collaboratively with management and other functional teams to proactively identify opportunities for achieve business objectives and enhance risk management.
- Act as point of contact for regulatory inquiries, external/internal audits and SLOD testing to facilitate execution and, wherever applicable, develop remediation plans to further improve adherence to regulatory obligations and PayPal's risk & compliance management requirements.
- Oversee the management of operational incidents and engage necessary teams for investigation, root cause analysis and remediation planning to prevent incident reoccurrence.
- You manage a forward plan of all upcoming remediation and improvement activities, communicating broadly to marketing and communications teams on upcoming changes, impacts and action plans.
- You report on the Marketing and Communication organization’s risk profile, emerging risks and issues to senior management and key stakeholders, enabling informed decision making.
