Product Development Engineer
As a Product Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading data collection and compilation to meet the business needs of the program
- Implementing new standard processes and providing feedback to improve them
- Determining answers to questions through experimentation

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- One (1) year of synthetic chemistry experience in a private, public, government or military environment, including scale up from bench (~10g) to pilot (>5kg) scale
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Rich experience with new product, process and/or technology scale-up and deployment of new technologies.
- Experience in the fast-paced semiconductor industry is helpful
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating with colleagues around the globe as well as manufacturing counterparts.
- Self-motivated with a strong growth mindset
